Bar/Lounge

The pub which is at the front of the building has many original traditional features, where a roaring fire and warm smile awaits. In here the local characters swap tales with travellers over a traditional pint of ale or a mulled wine.  The pub menu has a traditional twist to it with piping hot soups, pies and casseroles sitting alongside scotched duck eggs, tankers of prawns, warm salt beef sandwiches, all freshly made by our Chef Jason Hyatt.The informality of the pub makes for a great atmosphere and drinkers and diners sit side by side often enjoying the ‘parties’ hosted by Lucinda, curry night and Friday fizz being but a couple.Many an hour is lost here as tales of the hotel ghosts become evermore intriguing as the Stow mist descends on another fun filled night at “the kings”.

The bar also plays host to live music occasionally and caters for every taste. A selection of real ales are always on tap alongside, Guinness, Cider and lagers including Staropramen, Stella Artois, Becks Vier and Carling. The spirits shelf is always well stacked with many a customer enjoying the large selection of whiskeys as a nightcap to round off the perfect evening.

The Kings Arms wine list has also been recently renovated and customers can select from a carefully selected range of red, white, rose and champagnes from France, Argentina, Chile and Australia.
