Walking around Stow on the Wold, looking for a dog friendly place to et- we started here and didn’t leave. Despite reading a different review about how/not dog friendly this place is, we found it really welcoming and sat in a lovely horse-shoe area and had dinner. We had various starters and main meals. The food was hearty pub food with good service and timings for food were very good, despite the tables being busy. On a old weekend, it hit the spot. Plenty of people dropped in for a drink at the bar, reading weekend papers and relaxing in the bar. Good option for hungry travellers with busy but welcoming staff. The staff had some difficult customers when we were there but it didn’t dampen their welcome for the rest of us- well done!
